About the Role
We are a growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Associate to join our team in Chicago. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who is eager to learn the inner workings of a wealth management firm and build a strong foundation in financial operations.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll support core operational functions including client service requests, alternative investment processing, account maintenance, and workflow execution. You’ll work directly with senior operations team members and wealth advisors, gaining real exposure to how an RIA serves its clients and runs its day-to-day business.
This is a fully in-person role based in our Chicago office, an environment we believe fosters faster learning and stronger collaboration for early-career professionals.
Introduction to the Role
What You'll Do
- Respond to client and advisor requests, supporting a wide range of operational tasks across the firm
- Assist with the lifecycle of alternative investment transactions, including new subscriptions, capital calls, registration maintenance, and exemptions
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure data integrity across operational systems and platforms
- Help execute account opening, transfer, and maintenance processes from initiation through completion
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving and enhancing company workflows and operational efficiency
- Learn and apply relevant regulatory requirements, compliance procedures, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with senior team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in operational execution

Candidate Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a related field
- 0–2 years of professional experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite — Excel, Word, and Outlook (Required)
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Optional Background
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or work experience in a business, financial services, or professional services environment (Preferred)
- Exposure to the wealth management, RIA, or broader financial services industry (Preferred)
- Familiarity with AI tools and large language models (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) (Preferred)
- Exposure to CRM or portfolio management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Redtail, Wealthbox, Tamarac, or Orion)
- Familiarity with custodial platforms (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity)
- Basic understanding of alternative investments and related operational processes
- Coursework or interest in regulatory compliance within financial services is a plus
